Back Market

How to add a Back Market store to ShipStation, what features are available, and other need-to-know details.

Back Market is a top marketplace in France for refurbished electronics, and they specialize in phones. Back Market also serves the US, UK, France, Germany, and several other European countries. Back Market integrates directly with ShipStation to automatically import your orders and start shipping quickly. ShipStation will automatically notify your Back Market account with your order's shipment details.

Updates to ShipStation's Back Market Integration

  • Effective April 24, 2023: All Back Market sellers will have 60 days to update their Back Market API token to be compliant with Back Market’s improved security standard. After that time, the old API token will expire and your integration will not function properly.

To update your Back Market API token:

    1. Log into your Back Market Back Office, click the Options tab and then click the Integrations tab.

    2. Locate your active ShipStation integration and click the trash can icon to the right to remove it.

    3. Refresh the browser page.

    4. Click the Add New Integration button and select ShipStation from the drop-down menu, then click Confirm.

  • ShipStation has updated our Back Market Integration to support Back Market’s IMEI feature. If you had a Back Market Store connected previously, you should not experience any disruption in your workflow. However, if your Back Market Store shows an error, please follow the steps to reconfigure your store in ShipStation.

Additional Details About the Back Market Integration

  • Back Market requires all vendors to specify the serial numbers or IMEIs for smartphones. Currently, ShipStation supports this feature by sending the order’s Internal Notes in the marketplace shipment notification. You must manually enter the IMEI number into the Internal Notes field in the Order Details before it can ship. Once that order ships, the IMEI number will populate in Back Market, as expected.
